Wattle Blue was born in 2021. Jack, our founder and director, had years of experience in the education sector before making the switch to support services. Jack noticed the increasing lack of support for children across Canberra and wanted to be a part of filling the gap.
The goal? To provide fun, enthusiastic, and engaging services. Laughter and smiles are a must! Jack started to build a team of passionate and energetic support workers.
Wattle Blue is now set on finding support workers who share their values. We find people who display enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. We’re building a team who are passionate about helping the younger demographic of Australia. Many of our support workers are studying:
Community Services
Teaching
Nursing
Occupational Therapy
Our vision is for all families to have choice and satisfaction in their selection of support workers. We are here to help match you with tailored support, tending to your loved one’s individual needs.

We strive to find support workers who bring an energy that will match the client. This creates the best possible environments for our clients to reach their goals, and improve their livelihoods.
Jasmine loves exploring and all things travel. On the weekends, she spends her time discovering new places or activities. She enjoys being creative, particularly pottery and cooking, and most of all, she loves meeting new people!
While working as a support worker at Wattle Blue, Jasmine discovered her passion for supporting children living with a disability as well as building essential relationships with them and their families. Now as staffing officer, Jasmine’s goal is to create an enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate team of support workers to provide our clients with the best support.
Jasmine approaches every situation with compassion and empathy. She has a passion for supporting people, whether that be our clients or our team. Jasmine loves getting to know all our staff and, most importantly, building a positive community here at Wattle Blue.
Jack loves being active, meeting new people, and can’t live without music. The best part of his day is talking to new clients and having morning meetings with his team.
Before moving to the disability sector, Jack spent three years supporting children as a Learning Support Assistant. Working in an additional needs’ classroom, each day presented Jack with a new challenge – he loved this. It taught him how to adapt, think on his toes, but most importantly how to create engaging and meaningful relationships with children. Jack learned that every child was different in their interaction and communication needs.
Towards the end of his time in education, Jack started to hear from parents about how they couldn’t find support workers that were the right fit for their child. Looking into this further, Jack found that it wasn’t a small problem. Most families in Canberra were receiving care from support workers that showed no interest in children, or who they had nothing in common with. Children and teenagers had become a forgotten demographic when it came to disability support services.
Jack decided to start Wattle Blue. In his words, it gave him and his team a goal. To provide every child, teenager, and young adult with the best fitting support worker possible.
